Registered Nurse Oncology

Role Overview

Provide specialized nursing care in an oncology setting, including administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, monitoring patient conditions, documenting orders, and coordinating discharge planning. Ensure safe handling of cytotoxic agents and manage side effects, allergic reactions, and technology troubleshooting related to infusion lines and pumps.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Cook up multidisciplinary patient care and communicate effectively
• Absess and manage side effects and hypersensitivity reactions
• Handle cytotoxic agents safely and troubleshoot infusion devices
• Draw blood samples and manage vascular access devices

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Registered Nurse with Indiana Board of Nursing
• Certification in Chemotherapy from Oncology Nursing Society within 6 months
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent licensure
