Registered Nurse, Occupational Health - Nights
What You’ll Do
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
- Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
- Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
- Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
- Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
- Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
- Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Edits patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
- Affords assistance with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
- Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
- At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
- Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams

Scheduled hours are Sunday-Thursday, 10PM-6:30AM offering a consistent overnight schedule with your weekends free!

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Buffalo, WV.
