About the role
The Department of Human Services, Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services, North Central Secure Treatment Unit (NCSTU) provides dedicated, high-quality care to at-risk youth residents. We are seeking hard-working, enthusiastic, compassionate, and reliable individuals who are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents located in Montour County.
Responsibilities
Medication Management: Prepare, administer, and track medications for residents while following established procedures
Medical Scheduling: Arrange and maintain resident medical, dental, optometry, and psychiatric appointments
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records, review bills, and ensure all documentation is complete
Care Coordination: Communicate essential medical needs to staff and collaborate with medical providers and treatment teams
Health Monitoring: Check medical supplies, monitor resident health needs, and report unusual behaviors or concerns
Emergency Support: Provide immediate care to residents or employees until additional medical help arrives
Qualifications
Necessary Special Requirements: Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
Must be able to perform essential job functions

Work schedule consists of shift work in a 24/7 operation to include day, evening and holiday rotation: 10 working days in 14 day period 8-hour shifts with a half-hour duty-free lunch

New hires may be eligible for a $1000.00 Retention Incentive Payment, provided you meet all criteria outlined in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement
Salary: Starting annual salary of $89,882.00 (before taxes)
Pay
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $89,882.00 (before taxes).
