Registered Nurse - Nights
Employment Type: Full time, 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
About the Role
The Registered Nurse – Med/Surg works in a collaborative environment at Nazareth Hospital to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop, evaluate, and modify care plans under limited supervision.
- Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to expertise.
- Function as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
- Provide professional care to a group of patients for a designated time frame using therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, environment/technology, and other healthcare team members.
- Serve patients across all age groups (Infant through Older Adults).
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
- Prior relevant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Certifications aligned with area of responsibility; minimum of BLS required.
