Registered Nurse - Nights

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive patient care, including direct nursing, patient/family education, and care transitions. They support professional practice across various settings, adhering to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model and ANA standards. The RN provides leadership through mentoring, participation in quality improvement, and delegation based on skill, patient acuity, and resources. Qualifications include a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited program, with experience working in a team environment, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required; BSN is preferred, along with inpatient Med/Surg experience. Valid RN licensure and BLS competency are mandatory, with additional certifications as needed. Skills needed include effective communication, critical thinking, adaptability, leadership, and teamwork. The role involves flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and may require driving personal vehicles for certain duties. Compensation is based on experience, education, and dedication, with benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. The position is full-time, nonexempt, with detailed scheduling for night shifts and weekends, and does not include international assignments.
