Registered Nurse - Nights

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
• Direct or oversee less‑experienced nursing or healthcare personnel or oversee a particular unit.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Instruct individuals, families, or other groups on health education, disease prevention, or childbirth to develop health‑improvement programs.
• Assess the needs of individuals, families, or communities, including home or work environments, to identify potential health or safety problems.
• Refer students or patients to specialized health resources or community agencies furnishing assistance.
• Consult with institutions or associations regarding issues or concerns relevant to the practice and profession of nursing.
• Conduct specified laboratory tests as necessary.
• Engage in research activities related to nursing and patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding appropriate drugs, medical devices, or other forms of treatment (e.g., physical therapy, inhalation therapy).
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient’s condition.
• Assist with administrative functions such as unit staffing, budgeting, planning, or long‑range goals.
• Participate in seminars and training as necessary for continued learning pertaining to the provision of nursing care.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of patients, the department, and the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting (preferred).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the State of Wisconsin.
• Certified BLS and ACLS according to policy.

Schedule

Full‑time position, 72 hours per pay period. PM shift from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
