Registered Nurse - Neurology

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions. They support professional nursing practice across various settings, ensuring all aspects of patient care are effectively planned, implemented, evaluated, and communicated. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and education to patients and families.Lead and support nursing activities within the practice model, including planning and quality improvement efforts.Delegate tasks based on skill, experience, and resource availability.Mentor colleagues, participate in committees or projects, and demonstrate leadership qualities.Possibly drive personal vehicle as part of job duties. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate nursing program; relevant RN experience or LPN experience at Mayo Clinic required.BSN or MSN preferred; experience in neurology is advantageous.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong critical thinking and leadership abilities.Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records.Current RN license, BLS certification, and ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Additional Details: This is a full-time, ambulatory, high-autonomy position supporting nurse triage, patient coordination, IV placements, and programming procedures.
