Registered Nurse - Neurology

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions. The RN supports professional practice across various settings, adhering to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model and ANA standards. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of care, providing leadership through mentorship, formal and informal roles, and quality improvement initiatives. Key Duties Delegate patient care based on skill, experience, acuity, and resources.Communicate effectively, mentor, and participate in committees or projects.Possibly drive personal vehicles for role-related responsibilities. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program; RN license required.Experience in applicable care settings or LPN experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.Computer proficiency; experience with electronic medical records is advantageous.Ability to work flexibly, adapt to unpredictable situations, and demonstrate leadership.BSN or MSN preferred; neurology experience is a plus.Current BLS certification required. Additional Details: The role is a full-time, high-autonomy ambulatory position working weekdays from 0800-1630, with no weekends or call.
