Registered Nurse Neuro Trauma ICU

Job Summary

The Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit (NTICU) and Neuro-Vascular Intensive Care Unit (NVICU) at St. Anthony Hospital are seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) with at least six months of direct RN experience. Eligible candidates may be eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus, depending on eligibility criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
• Evaluate patient’s response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV’s, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records. Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
• Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability.
• Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.

Requirements

• Required: Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment
• BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA, NPSF (preferred)
• Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, CCRN

Physical Requirements

Medium Work: Exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center. We provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life Colorado. Pay Range

$33.15 - $59.67 /hour
