Registered Nurse (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) - Part Time (Day Shift)

About the role

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a level 3 NICU specializing in the care of newborns after birth. It takes care of infants born as early as 28 weeks, those with complications, genetic disorders, or prematurity. The unit also provides respiratory support through various methods and collaborates with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with procedures, central lines, spinal taps.
• Maintaining and monitoring vital signs.
• Administering medication and assessing enteral intake.
• Recognizing and addressing changes in assessments that could lead to life-threatening conditions.
• Focusing on family-centered care and developmental care to create a soothing environment for infants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit of.
• Related work experience: 3 years in NICU required; 5 years preferred.
• LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E certifications required.
• NJ RN license required.
• National Nursing Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit of.
• Experience: 3 years in NICU required; 5 years preferred.

$49.96 - $68.99/Hourly

Schedule

Required to work two day shifts (7AM-7PM) per week, with at least three weekend shifts (Fri, Sat, Sun) per 4-week schedule.
