Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care

About the role

Provides direct nursing care in a healthcare setting, primarily in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), focusing on patients with critical, complex illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Delivers skilled nursing care using advanced technology and interventions.
• Initiates emergency measures, including infant resuscitation.
• Implements and monitors individualized care plans.
• Communicates patient conditions to healthcare teams and families.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary care and ensures adherence to physician orders.
• Assesses discharge needs and prepares transition plans.
• Applies evidence-based practices guided by professional nursing standards and ethical codes.
• Performs ongoing patient monitoring and documentation.
• Adheres to safety and infection-control standards.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of six months of RN experience.

Certifications

• Valid RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent pediatric/neonatal life support certification.
