Registered Nurse - Mother Baby - PRN

About the Role

A skilled Registered Nurse providing independent patient care in a clinical setting, demonstrating comprehensive awareness of patient needs and managing complex cases. The nurse plans and executes care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation, while delegating tasks appropriately to care team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and complex nursing care aligned with professional standards and organizational competencies.
• Assess patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, addressing these in care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments using approved protocols, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and interventions accurately.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying learning needs and available resources.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty preferred.
• Required certifications include BLS and RN license in the state of practice.
• Additional certifications such as NRP, STABLE, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and others are preferred or required, with specified time frames for acquisition.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills.

Additional Requirements

• Participation in new nurse orientation and competency validations.
• Experience in perinatal or similar acute care settings is preferred.

Schedule

Available for per diem shifts, primarily night hours (7PM - 7AM).
