Registered Nurse - Medsurg Overflow - Full-Time

About the Role

The nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. They make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to care providers to effectively handle clinical situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care following the ANA Scope and Standards, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with their practice level.
• Administer medications and treatments using approved protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.

Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
