Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Ortho, PRN, Night Shift

About the role

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The role involves coordinating patient care activities among staff to deliver quality nursing services while operating within organizational policies and ensuring high standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions
• Maintain practice standards and coordinate care activities for assigned staff
• Demonstrate professional accountability and growth
• Obtain and maintain required certifications relevant to specialty areas

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Georgia RN license or multistate licensure (required)
• BCLS certification (required)
• Additional certifications may be required based on specialty, such as ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy, or NICU NRP, with specific certification timelines

Qualifications

• No experience required; new graduates eligible
• Hospital experience preferred
