About the role

Travel RN Med Surg job in Edenton, NC: Work in a 16-bed medical-surgical unit at a critical access hospital serving a scenic waterfront community in eastern North Carolina. You will care for adult patients with a range of medical diagnoses, including sepsis, stroke, urinary tract infection, diabetic ketoacidosis, pancreatitis, and cardiac or respiratory issues. The facility features advanced technology, telemedicine links, and a patient- and family-centered culture that values mutual respect and mindfulness.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients with various medical diagnoses in a medical-surgical unit.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.
• Read and interpret strips as required.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact accepted).
• 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience.
• Certifications: BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, NIHSS.
• Ability to work within an 80-mile radius.

Qualifications

Required

• Registered Nurse (RN) with medical-surgical (MS) experience.

Preferred

• Epic Documentation experience.
• Travel experience.
• PALS certification.

Skills

• Strong assessment abilities.
• Teamwork and effective communication.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
