About the role

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care across all age groups, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain practice standards
  • Coordinate patient care activities among staff
  • Ensure quality nursing services within organizational policies

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • No experience required; new graduates are eligible; hospital experience preferred
  • Current Georgia RN licensure or multistate license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Certifications & Specializations

  • Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, or specialty-specific credentials may be required based on unit
  • Nurses must obtain these within specified timeframes, especially for specialty units like Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Dialysis, Emergency, Oncology, Pediatrics, Surgical Services, and Women’s Services
