About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse range of patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and analyzes comprehensive patient data to inform care plans.
  • Develops and implements personalized care plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
  • Administers medications accurately and documents care using electronic systems.
  • Coordinates patient discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to home or other care settings.
  • Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans as necessary.
  • Adapts to new technologies and best practices to improve patient care.
  • Ensures adherence to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control measures.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license.
  • BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
  • BSN in progress or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
  • At least six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
  • One or more years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • A strong sense of accountability for improving patient care.
  • An exceptional focus on teamwork and dedication to ongoing education.
  • A strong sense of patient focus and passion for delivering high-quality care.
