Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical, Neurology

About the role

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a fast-paced, inpatient Neuro Science unit, specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, head injuries, and surgical needs. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and professional standards. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff—is essential to support patient recovery across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care activities among staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain standards of practice and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
• Support a comprehensive orientation and training program for new and experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Georgia RN licensure or multistate license.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, CNA) may be required based on specialty area.
• New graduates are eligible; hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
