Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

About the Role

Provide specialized patient care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit for conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), and Sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, central line care, rescue Bi-PAP, high-flow oxygen, and trach/vent management.
• Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Interns, Providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT).
• Manage a 14-bed unit with a focus on critical thinking, delegation, and time management to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS (obtained within specified timeframes).
• PRN positions require at least 1 year of RN experience and all certifications upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
