Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients. Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments. Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and communicate findings to the healthcare team. Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, therapists, and ancillary staff. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning. Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions in the electronic medical record. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
