Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

About the role

Provides direct nursing care in a medical-surgical setting, focusing on neurological, surgical, and medical patients. Uses standards of nursing practice to enhance patient care and quality of life.

• Builds effective relationships and advocates for patients and families to develop personalized care plans
• Implements the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Considers physical, cultural, social, economic, and spiritual factors in care strategies
• Collaborates with interprofessional teams and communicates effectively to ensure holistic, ethical, and culturally sensitive care
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures
• Mentors colleagues and applies evidence-based practices tailored to patient needs
• Performs point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least one year of RN experience

Skills & Requirements

• Strong communication, leadership, and assessment skills
• Physical ability to perform clinical duties
• Valid state nursing license
• BLS certification

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking required
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Repetitive movements required
