Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

About the role

Provide safe and effective professional nursing care under the supervision of the Department Director and Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the healthcare needs of a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to meet unit and hospital goals.
• Deliver quality nursing care in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Willingness to float to other comparable nursing units as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• At least one year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS recommended.
• Additional education such as a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• For lapsed licenses over five years, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reinstatement.
