Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Role Overview

Provides direct nursing care on the medical-surgical floor, following established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life
• Develop individualized care plans
• Assess patient needs considering physical, cultural, social, and emotional factors
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care
• Communicate effectively and promote patient education
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring colleagues
• Apply evidence-based practices and ensure safe, holistic care
• May perform point of care testing and other assigned duties

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; no prior experience required
• Valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Physical requirements involve constant communication, mobility, and sensory acuity
