About the role
Registered Nurse in Inpatient Medical Neuro Unit and Neuro ICU, providing care across both units based on need.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and gather health data involving patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Coordinate patient care plans to ensure interventions are safe, timely, and appropriate.
- Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Individualize patient and family education to meet specific learning needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.
Key Duties
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced neuro environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and understanding.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited Associate's degree or BSN in Nursing.
- Current Illinois nursing license and CPR certification.
- ACLS certification within three months of hire.
- Experience preferred.
