Registered Nurse - Medical Intermediate

About the Role

Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Intermediate unit. This position is accountable for utilizing the nursing process, performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks, and supervising other patient care staff. The role involves coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process
• Performs patient care
• Delegates patient care tasks
• Supervises other patient care staff
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients
• Consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures

Requirements

• 2 years of applicable experience
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule

Full Time Nights: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. This position includes a weekend shift differential.
