About the role

Hospitals on Incredible Health is seeking a Registered Nurse - Med Surg Supervisor in the Lanham, MD area. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate nursing activities within the Med Surg unit.
  • Ensure patient safety and quality of care through supervision and delegation of tasks.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to staff nurses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in performance evaluations and professional development planning for staff.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Med Surg unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies and equipment to enhance patient care.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs and ensure compliance with hospital standards.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
  • At least 5 years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in Med Surg or related areas preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • Passing score on the NCLEX-RN exam.
  • Completion of a BSN program.
  • Completion of a relevant certification or advanced degree in nursing.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software used in healthcare settings.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
