Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - RN

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a Med/Surg setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Assists with patient care activities, administers medications, performs basic diagnostic tests, and monitors patient response to treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care activities
• Administers medications according to physician orders and hospital policies
• Performs basic diagnostic tests as directed
• Maintains accurate patient records
• Monitors patient response to treatment and reports significant changes to the Registered Nurse

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

• Experience in a Med/Surg setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficient in electronic health record systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay

$40.00 - $45.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
