Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions
- Administer medications
- Maintain patient vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Initiate computerized Plan of Care on admission
- Perform general nursing duties
- Communicate effectively and therapeutically
- Support the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures
- Participate in required education for DNV programs
- Provide care for the patient's age-specific, cultural, physical, and psychosocial well-being
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred
- Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred
- No previous experience required
Physical Requirements
- Sufficient auditory ability to detect and respond to various sounds
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Visual acuity for observing patient conditions
- Tactile perception for assessing physical characteristics
- Motor coordination for reaching, grasping, handling, and using medical equipment
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds independently
- Frequent pushing, pulling, carrying, or repositioning of objects or patients weighing up to 25 pounds
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Walking and standing for long periods
- Occasional lifting or transferring of individuals weighing over 100 pounds
- Sitting for long periods of time

Wage Range: $46.78 - $79.58
