Registered Nurse Med Surg PRN
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at HCA Florida Northside Hospital, you’ll have staffing support, technology, and resources to deliver safe, high-quality care in a medical surgical environment. We are seeking a phenomenal addition to our team who values patient care as much as we do.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or hold an appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if compact license is held).
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
- 1 year of experience required.
- No travel required.
