Registered Nurse - Med Surg Oncology
About the role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team. The Oncology Unit is a 30-bed unit with 24 private rooms and a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. While oncology is the primary specialty, the unit also cares for patients undergoing bariatric, gynecological, and colorectal surgery. After six months, nurses have the opportunity to obtain Chemo Certification to further develop oncology knowledge and skills. The position is located at Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital.
