About the role

This 22-bed unit serves adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical-surgical needs, as well as those facing complex oncological conditions. From treating solid tumors and hematological malignancies to managing rare blood disorders, the team’s knowledge and skill are unparalleled.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
  • Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
  • Provide safe, patient-centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
  • Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
  • Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
  • Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.
  • Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
  • Registered Nurse Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle
  • PREFERRED: Membership in related professional organization
  • PREFERRED: RNs with more than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time acute care experience
  • PREFERRED: Certification in specialty

Pay

  • $5k Sign-On Bonus!

Schedule

  • Full Time Days - (72 hours bi-weekly) 7:00am - 7:30pm Every 3rd weekend rotation Holiday rotation
