Registered Nurse – Med Surg | Nights | 36hr./week
About the Role
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care. You will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, ensure professional accountability, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by others. The role involves coordinating patient care with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and performing duties aligned with the organization’s mission and standards.
Nurses in this role gain experience with diverse adult medical conditions, including bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. You will develop core clinical skills such as assessment, time management, and care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by nursing staff and support personnel.
- Perform duties in alignment with the organization’s mission and established standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications
- Prior hospital experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or specialty certifications advantageous.
- Experience in clinical settings or related healthcare environments is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and mobility required to perform nursing duties.
