About the role
This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult patients requiring general surgery, particularly those with complex GI and vascular needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, direct patient care while monitoring and communicating patient conditions to the care team.
- Accurately execute physician and nursing orders to support patient recovery.
- Lead discharge planning and patient education to ensure smooth transitions home.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a multi-state license recognized under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.
Skills
- Preferred: 6+ months of acute care nursing experience.
