Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, and their family/designated care partners in a way that respects and collaborates with them.
• Integrates evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and patients' preferences and cultural beliefs in delivering optimal healthcare.
• Partners with patients and their designated care partners to identify learning needs and priorities, and educates them about their health and treatment.

• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, and support ethical decision-making.
• Maintains high standards of patient care by monitoring care processes and using improvement methods to enhance quality and safety.
• Fosters teamwork and open communication within nursing and interdisciplinary teams, promoting quality patient care.
• Recognizes and respects patients' personal preferences, priorities, and cultural beliefs in providing safe, compassionate, and coordinated care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or completion of a BSN program within 3 years of hire, preferred.
• One year of previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting, preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Knowledge of patient assessment and care, including medication administration and discharge planning.
• Ability to document health information accurately and efficiently.

Skills

• Effective communication skills, including the ability to engage patients and their designated care partners in their health and care planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in using information technology to support healthcare delivery and decision-making.
