Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

About the role

Join a close-knit healthcare team as a Med-Surg RN, providing comprehensive nursing care in a 20-bed medical-surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for diverse patient populations, including medical, surgical, pediatric, outpatient, observation, and swing bed patients
• Ensuring safety through accurate medication administration, IV therapy, equipment use, and adherence to protocols
• Educating patients and families with individualized teaching plans and coordinating discharge and referrals
• Leading within the interdisciplinary team, mentoring new staff, and participating in unit improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN program; BSN preferred
• Current RN license and BLS certification
• Preferred certifications: Med/Surg Nursing, ACLS, and PALS (required within 1 year)
• New graduates encouraged to apply
