About the role
Seeking a Med-Surg RN to provide comprehensive care in a 20-bed medical-surgical unit, impacting patient outcomes in a close-knit community hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for diverse patients across all age groups, including medical, surgical, pediatric, outpatient, observation, and swing bed patients
- Administering medications, managing IV therapy, operating equipment, and ensuring safety through adherence to evidence-based protocols
- Educating patients and families with individualized plans, coordinating discharge, and facilitating continuity of care
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring new staff, and contributing to unit improvements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved RN program; BSN preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
- Current RN license in Vermont or multi-state
- Current BLS certification; Med/Surg Nursing, ACLS, PALS certifications preferred within 1 year
