Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

About the Role

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for a diverse patient population. You will serve as a primary or accountable nurse, ensuring patient safety and quality care.

• Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment, and disease management.
• Administer medications safely, adhering to policies and utilizing pharmacology knowledge.
• Support resource management, including staffing, supplies, and services.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards, regulations, and institutional policies.
• Participate in shared governance, improvement initiatives, and peer review processes.
• Foster a learning environment for new staff, students, and observers.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
• Perform additional duties to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current New York State RN license; certifications like CCRN, ACLS, PALS are a plus.
• Experience in acute or ambulatory care preferred.

Work Environment
