Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations as Nurse Manager, coordinating nursing staff, workflows, and resources to ensure safe, efficient patient care and consistent delivery of high-quality direct patient care.
- Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff while fostering collaboration within the interdisciplinary team to strengthen patient outcomes, engagement, and clinical performance.
- Identify and resolve barriers impacting patient care delivery, implementing process improvements that enhance care coordination, safety practices, and overall quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor departmental budgets and resource utilization as Nurse Manager, approving expenditures and aligning staffing and operations with financial goals and patient care priorities.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- Work Experience: 3 years of experience required; 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Peri-anesthesia departments both pre- and post-operative areas.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience.
