About the role

The Registered Nurse Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our behavioral health department, including managing a team of nurses, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the behavioral health department
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Oversee patient care, including assessments, treatment plans, and medication management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
  • Provide education and training to staff on best practices and new developments in behavioral health
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided
  • Handle any issues or concerns that arise within the behavioral health department
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment for all staff members

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health nursing
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health diagnoses, treatments, and medications
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines related to behavioral health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
