About the role
This position administers, directs, and coordinates activities of patient care of assigned units per 24 hours. Make recommendations, develops, and implements policies and procedures and apprises the Director of Nursing and the Director of Health Services of progress and potential problems. Responsible for direction and evaluation of patient care delivery. Second line supervisor of RN Managers-1 per 24 hours, 7 days per week. Includes the supervision of Central Nursing Office RN Manager-2 as assigned. As an Associate Director of Nursing assumes administrative responsibilities for the Nursing Department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities

- Apprises the Director of Nursing and the Director of Health Services of progress and potential problems.
- Responsible for direction and evaluation of patient care delivery.
- Second line supervisor of RN Managers-1 per 24 hours, 7 days per week.

- Assumes administrative responsibilities for the Nursing Department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Education: Possession of a diploma or associate's degree in nursing.
- Experience: Two years of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12 or a Registered Nurse Manager 12, or one year equivalent to a Registered Nurse 13 or a Registered Nurse Manager 13.
Qualifications
- RN: Possession of a Michigan license in good standing as a registered nurse.

- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
