Registered Nurse - Main Post Partum - Part Time - Nights - Experienced RN

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care by assessing the patient’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs utilizing The Christ Hospital Health Network Professional Practice Model.
• Create personalized care plans that prioritize patient needs and goals.
• Provide evidence-based, best-in-class care by educating patients and families, executing well-planned interventions and utilizing hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor and adjust care based on patient outcomes and evidence-based practices.
• Drive improvement and achieve better outcomes through the development and evaluation of Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by motivating, educating, delegating, and mentoring peers and team members, while managing patient care effectively.

Qualifications

• Accurately and concisely document the nursing process in the patient’s electronic medical record, reflecting the implemented plan of care by the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Ensure timely documentation of care, updates, education, and the patient’s and family’s responses, in line with hospital policy.
• Adhere to all organizational and department policies, complete required training, meet all educational requirements, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
• Assist with breastfeeding and education while monitoring the healing and recuperation of new mothers.
• Maintain the health of the mother and baby while monitoring any complications that arise during the postpartum period and ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home.
