Provides direct resident care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) while ensuring safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulations.
Administers medications and narcotics, monitors resident conditions, responds to emergencies, and assists physicians with procedures to support optimal health outcomes.
Maintains accurate documentation, updates care plans, protects protected health information (PHI), and promotes a safe, therapeutic environment that respects resident rights and dignity.
Supervises CNAs and staff, supports families during crises, participates in ongoing education, and upholds the organization’s mission through professionalism, integrity, and high-quality care.
Minimum Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Must possess Basic Life Support Certification credentials, required
- Current NYS Registered Nurse Licensure, required
- Education: Graduate from college or diploma in the field of Registered Nursing
- Work Experience: On the job training. One year medical-surgical or skilled nursing home experience, preferred.
