Registered Nurse - Level 1 Trauma Operating Room

Role Overview

Join a full‑time Inpatient RN team in the Operating Room, providing specialized surgical care in a Level 1 Trauma OR with 24/7 operation of 36 rooms. Work is performed in a clinical setting with a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, supported by mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop/execute patient care plans.
• Administer treatments and medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives.

Key Duties

• Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
• Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects.
• Coordinate and educate patients and families on care plans and discharge processes.
• Participate in decision‑making and quality‑improvement activities.
• Maintain a safe environment through adherence to policies and equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
• Ability to perform assessments and formulate care plans within scope of practice and standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence‑based practice.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekend call shifts with response times within 45 minutes.

Schedule

Full‑time position with rotating shifts and weekend call responsibilities; on‑call response required within 45 minutes.
