Responsibilities
- Assesses patients/families to identify health conditions and needs.
- Formulates nursing diagnoses and plans care accordingly.
- Administers treatments and educates patients/families on health practices.
- Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans as necessary.
- Coordinates care among various healthcare professionals.
- Complies with safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Diploma School of Nursing/College of Nursing with an ASN or BSN.
- Two to five years previous inpatient nursing experience preferred.
- Current valid Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C.EFM) Certificate of Added Qualification from NCC within 1 year of eligibility.
- Knowledge of computer resources and exceptional communication skills.
Skills
- Knowledgeable in nursing practice.
- Self-directed and able to communicate with various disciplines.
Schedule
This is a casual/PRN position. Scheduling is managed through the Staffing Office and requires working 24 hours each scheduling period, including 12-hour weekend shifts.
