Responsibilities

• Assesses patients/families to identify health conditions and needs.
• Formulates nursing diagnoses and plans care accordingly.
• Administers treatments and educates patients/families on health practices.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans as necessary.
• Coordinates care among various healthcare professionals.
• Complies with safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Diploma School of Nursing/College of Nursing with an ASN or BSN.
• Two to five years previous inpatient nursing experience preferred.
• Current valid Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C.EFM) Certificate of Added Qualification from NCC within 1 year of eligibility.
• Knowledge of computer resources and exceptional communication skills.

• Self-directed and able to communicate with various disciplines.

Schedule

This is a casual/PRN position. Scheduling is managed through the Staffing Office and requires working 24 hours each scheduling period, including 12-hour weekend shifts.
