Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit is seeking a talented Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Labor and Delivery team.

About the role

Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks, and supervising other patient care staff. Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in patient care
• Perform and delegate patient care tasks
• Supervise other patient care staff
• Coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients
• Consult with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• 1 year of applicable experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) RQI certification
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (NURSYS)
• Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule

• Full Time, 36 hours per week
• Night shift
• On-call shifts required
