About the role

Lead the birth and recovery experience by implementing personalized care plans that prioritize the safety, comfort, and clinical stability of both the parent and the newborn.

Advocate for the family unit by serving as the central coordinator between obstetricians, pediatricians, and specialists to ensure a seamless and supportive care journey.

Deliver expert clinical interventions by executing physician orders with precision, ensuring every stage, labor through postpartum, is managed with the highest safety standards.

Empower new families for the transition home by assessing discharge needs early and providing the education and resources necessary for a confident start at home.

Responsibilities

  • Implement personalized care plans for both parents and newborns.
  • Serve as the central coordinator between various healthcare providers.
  • Execute physician orders with precision and adhere to the highest safety standards.
  • Assess and prepare families for discharge, providing necessary education and resources.

Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One Or More Of The Following Are Preferred: Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted, Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program, Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience with OB or NICU experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of neonatal and obstetric care protocols.
  • Experience with patient education and discharge planning.
