About the Role
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver quality compassionate patient care in the Labor & Delivery Unit.
- Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- Identify and implement solutions for variances from patient goals.
Requirements
- BSN preferred; graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- One year of experience in L&D, LDRP, Postpartum, or a similar Maternal Child Health Unit.
Qualifications
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Health care provider certification (BCLS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required.
- External Fetal Monitoring Credentialing or Certification required within one year of hire.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week, full-time, benefit-eligible.
- 12-hour midnight shift with alternate weekends.
