Registered Nurse-Labor and Delivery, Per Diem Nights

Summary

Plans and implements professional nursing care for patients in accordance with hospital policies. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.

• Maintains quality of care based on outcome indicators
• Participates in cost containment and accurate charging
• Adapts care based on age-specific needs
• Supports patients' cultural and spiritual practices

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational and leadership skills
• Knowledge of age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required
• May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds
