Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Night Shift)

About the role

• Provide direct and indirect total nursing care for assigned patients.
• Supervise assigned personnel.
• Maintain knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care.
• Demonstrate interpretive skills and engage in frequent interactive and consultative associations.
• Apply management and supervisory skills.
• Retrieve, communicate, or present information in written, auditory, or visual formats.
• Use spoken word as the primary method to express or exchange ideas.
• Utilize written communication, telephone, and manual dexterity skills.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's in Nursing required.
• Experience: One year of nursing/patient care in an acute care setting required.
• Certification/Licensure:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required, or Compact State Licensure in Nursing required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Registered Nurses on designated units must maintain certain certifications.
  • New-to-p
