Registered Nurse- IR- PRN

Part-time, rotating shift position.

About the Role

The Interventional Procedure Nurse works in a collaborative environment within the Medical Imaging/Radiology Department to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. This position focuses on treating the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without work visa or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Using the Quality Caring Model, demonstrate acceptable performance and apply the nursing process to plan and manage care for routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
• Effectively communicate fundamental patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Oversee patient care for individuals visiting the Interventional Radiology Department.
• Ensure critical or high-risk patients receive continuous attention from qualified nursing or technical staff.
• Accurately document patient care and assessment data, including vital signs, patient status, treatments, education provided, assessment data, and administration and effectiveness of medication and IV therapy.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, treatments, and post-care instructions.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• BLS certification (AHA - American Heart Association); additional Life Support training preferred as applicable to unit requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Interventional Radiology (IR).

Pay

Pay range: $39.04 - $58.56 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary based on location.
